Drawing & Shading Ribbons

Grade 4 - 6 - March 23rd - March 27th

Doing a value drawing helps you...

  • to learn to control your pencil

  • to train your brain to perform automatically

  • to see subtle changes in values / shading.

Value represents the amounts of lights and darks that might be in your drawings.

HERE ARE THE THINGS YOU'LL NEED FOR YOUR RIBBON SHADING EXERCISE.

  • A piece of paper (copy paper will do)

  • A soft pencil

  • Something to blend with (finger, tissue, etc,)

  • An eraser
