Shark Week!

Description

This collection of art lessons, activities and games will introduce young students to the biology and behaviors of sharks. While also having FUN!

Sharks are mysterious and misunderstood creatures that have fascinated people for generations. There are over 400 species of sharks worldwide. Sharks belong to a large group of fishes known as Chondrichthyes, which in Greek means “cartilage fish.” This group also includes skates and rays, all of which have skeletons made of cartilage, not bone.

 

Essential Question: 

  • Why do sharks float?

 

Materials

  • Paper

  • Pencil

  • Crayons/Markers

  • Tape

  • Scissors
